Adam Blau is a composer, arranger and pianist whose works for screen and stage have been heard both in his native New York and in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
Adam has written music for many film and theatrical projects, including the controversial LA cult favorite Call Us Crazy: The Anne Heche Monologues directed by Pamela Ribon. Adam contributed music to the feature film Buttleman, featuring Karen Black and Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson. Adam's music was heard this past winter at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen as part of the comedy production Letters Never Sent.
Through his work with composer John Swihart at Sonic Gravy, Adam has contributed music to the feature films Think Tank, Mall Cop, and Our Very Own, the latter featuring Allison Janney, Keith Carradine and Jason Ritter.
Adam studied American history and music at Yale University, where he also music directed and accompanied several theatrical productions and revues. He was the musical director of the a cappella groups Mixed Company and the renowned Yale Whiffenpoofs, with whom he toured extensively and co-produced recordings.

Adam has written for and played piano & keyboards with several rock and R&B bands, including the Josh Dodes Band, Eyan & the Truth, PJ Loughran and as a solo act. Adam has recorded CDs with these groups, and performed at many venues across the nation, including New York?s The Bitter End, Irving Plaza, and Las Vegas?s House of Blues.
