Daniel J. Blau is a New York (oh, okay, Long Island) native who splits his time between New York and Los Angeles because he's just that cosmopolitan.

A writer by trade, Daniel has worked for five years as a staff writer for the website Television Without Pity, where he skewers bad television shows six thousand words at a time. Most recently, he has gone to work as a story editor for the reality TV juggernaut "America's Next Top Model." If, when he tells you his job, you crease your brow and ask, "Yeah, but, like, how do you write for a reality show, he will most likely kill you with his bare hands. Also, he really thinks it's time he had an agent because eventually he wants a writing job on The Daily Show.

In his spare time, Dan is super-keen on forgotten bands from the eighties and movies based on popular children's board games.
A Vassar graduate using his English major to write plays about such high-minded topics as Monica Lewinsky, Dan is also peddling dozens of spec scripts, a three-ring binder full of vindictive Powerpoint screeds against corporate America, and a thin volume of haikus about the long, celebrated life of librettist Tim Rice entitled At Tim Rice Dot Com. He'd like to think he doesn't keep a blog, but he rides Pamie's coattails on her site every damn day of the week.
