What is your favorite musical moment?
In musicals and in general, I am a sucker for a heartfelt ballad with a whopping glory note stuck in there somewhere.
Personal product you can't do without?
Gumbands. The rest of you know them as "hair elastics," but that's what we call them in Pittsburgh.
Best book you've read recently?
I just read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott, which is really funny and great for anyone who is trying to be a writer.
Worst habit?
If you ask me to meet you somewhere at 6:30, get there at 7:15 at the earliest. Because I am always late.

Which cheesy musical do you hate to love?
I saw Les Miserables about six times in my youth and so have this weird, unnatural attachment to it.
Do you think you could take on Janet Reno in a fight?
Only if it takes place in a kiddie pool full of jello.
If you could cast one super-famous person in Monica!, who would it be?
"...and featuring Tom Jones as himself."
Person you can't stand for no good reason?
I just really, really, really don't like Gwyneth Paltrow.
What makes you so fabulous?
I could out-Cher any drag queen that you put me in contact with.
Person you would most like to meet?
I would love to go out for drinks with Cher, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton, at once. If, by chance, I were feeling more thoughtful and contemplative, then I would choose Dave Carter.
Person you would most like to never meet?
The thought of meeting anyone I've ever made fun of publicly in a musical or on a website really kind of frightens me.
Is that your real hair color?
Kind of.
Most embarrassing role in a high school musical?
I was a freaking pirate in my senior year production of Peter Pan. It sucked.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I once had a phobia of drive-through windows, which I overcame with years and years of therapy.
Best way to win your affections?
Be pretty.
What are your addictions?
Chocolate and cheese. Anything fatty and edible, really.
Closest thing to heaven?
The love of a good woman.
What is your favorite hair metal song?
When I'm by myself late at night, and perhaps a little drunk, I have been known to rock out with my guitar to "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." I'd say it's not pretty, but secretly it's actually (ding!) kind of awesome.
